Ingredients
  

  • pound ground turkey
  • ½ cup chopped tomato
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 8 hamburger bun, split and toasted
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until it get browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.

    Add the chopped vegetables-onion, bell pepper, tomato, and garlic. cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

    stir in the tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, and smoked paprika. Mix everything together well. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
