Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Step1. Sauté the Ingredients: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic powder and onion powder and sauté for a minute.
  • Step2. Cook the Broccoli: Add broccoli florets to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender.
  •  Step3. Add the Broth and Cream: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Step4. Add the Cheese: Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring constantly to ensure it melts evenly and doesn’t clump.
  • Step5. Simmer and Season: Let the soup simmer for 10-15 minutes until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step6. Blend for a Creamier Texture (Optional): Use an immersion blender to blend part of the soup for a thicker, creamier texture, leaving some broccoli pieces for added texture.
  • Step7. Serve and Enjoy: Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with extra cheese or a few pieces of steamed broccoli on top.
