Step 1: Prepare the glasses• Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes to half of the glass to keep the drink cold and not start out watering too fast.
Step 2: Add the cranberry juice• Pour in½ cup of cranberry juice in each glass. This is the foundation and gives the beverage its typical rich red hue.
Step 3: Add fresh lime juice• Put about 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice into each glass. The fresh extraction of lime juice adds a more pronounced flavor to it; brightness and balance are added to the cranberry juice's tartness.
Step 4: Add sugar or other sweetener• If you like it sweeter, you can add as much as ½ to a teaspoon of simple syrup to each glass. Just refrain from being heavy-handed because that would overpower your natural flavors.
Step 5: Add Sparkling Water • Add ½cup of sparkling water or club soda into the glass. This contributes to what makes the mocktail bubbly and light and refreshing.
Step 6: Stir and Garnish • Gently shake each glass to mix the drink and decorate with a slice of lime, a few fresh cranberries, or a sprig of mint for a party-themed appearance.
