Step 1: Activate the Yeast1. Mix 1 cup of warm milk and 2 tablespoons sugar in a small bowl.2. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast over the milk. Stir gently and let it rest for 5-10 minutes or until the mixture is foamy.
Step 2: Make Dough1. Take a large mixing bowl, put 3 ½ cups of flour in the bowl along with 1 teaspoon of salt.2. Mix in the remaining 2 eggs and 4 tablespoons of melted butter in with yeast mixture in a separate bowl.3. Gradually add the wet mixture to flour and form a dough.
Step 3: Kneading the Dough1. Put the dough into a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes or until the dough looks smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with dough hook for 5 minutes.2. Put the dough in the greased-up bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or till it doubles its original size.
Step 4: Shape the rolls1. Squeeze down the dough after it has risen and divide it into 12 portions of equal size, each about 65-70 grams.2. Roll each portion into a smooth ball and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish or tray leaving a little gap for spreading. 3. Cover the rolls and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes.
Step 5: Prepare the Garlic Butter1. As rolls rose melt the ½ cup unsalted butter over low in a small pan.2. Add 3 cloves chopped garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes just until fragrant.3. Let cool slightly, Stir in 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of salt.
Step 6: Bake the rolls1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).2. Smear a portion of the garlic butter on the rolls before baking.3. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Step 7: Brush and serve1. As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, brush them generously with the remaining garlic butter for a shiny finish.2. Sprinkle with additional parsley for garnish, if desired. Serve hot.
